Malachite

Opaque mineral made of carbon, copper and hydroxide.  Famous for its characteristic green color. Not for use in elixirs. Sometimes called the "Business Man's Stone" because most green stones are associated with abundance and prosperity. Also known as the "Traveler's Stone" and "Midwife Stone".

Hardness: 3.9 - 4.0 Owner Warning! Because Malachite is soft, it should be worn with care. Use extreme caution in cleaning this mineral as it is easily broken down by some solvents. Protect from scratches and sharp blows. Also avoid large temperature changes.
